Improved Posture and Positioning Part 1 of 3

This course was developed to provide Clinicians with the knowledge and skills needed to assess and treat those with impaired posture and positioning. The course focus is targeted for Occupational and Physical Therapy Professionals but is relevant for all healthcare professions. This introductory course addresses how to identify those that will benefit from posture/positioning interventions, provide comprehensive assessments, and dynamic treatment plans for those with posture and positioning needs. Wendy Underwood has been an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) for over 22 years. She has been treating those with posture and positioning needs since 2001 and brings that experience and skillset to the development of this course. Wendy has 10 years’ experience researching and developing course content for various specialty areas including posture and positioning. She is certified in Pelvic Muscle Dysfunction and Bowel and Bladder Health and Mindful Care Certified for treating those with a cognitive impairment.
