In Touch with the Orthopedic Shoulder

Get ready for a logical and clear approach to the evaluation and treatment of the fascinating, yet sometimes intimidating injured shoulder! Participants will gain a solid understanding of diagnosing and treating this joint successfully. Participants will integrate their knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and pathology into a logical assessment model. Effective treatment strategies will be presented, continually applying the theory in practical lab sessions. On completion of this unique course the participants will be better equipped and more confident to assess and treat the shoulder effectively.

Yorick Wijting

PT, DPT

Yorick received his Physical Therapy degree in the Netherlands and his DPT at the University of St. Augustine, Florida. He has extensive training and practical experience in biophysical agents and teaches nationally and internationally to medical professionals on their therapeutic use. Yorick has been instrumental in developing the use of electrical stimulation by Speech Language Pathologists in the treatment of dysphagia. Yorick currently lives in California and runs his private practice in Gilroy, CA.
