What to Expect...Your First Session as a Certified VitalStim Provider ecourse

Now that I am a Certified VitalStim® Provider, how do I get started? Effective use of the VitalStim therapeutic modality requires an understanding of the therapeutic protocol discussed in the 2 day certification course. Sometimes there is a delay between becoming a certified VitalStim therapist and utilizing this technique in a therapy session. This 1 hour course provides the opportunity to review the basic elements of setting up a dysphagia session using the VitalStim modality. The instructor will help prepare participants for their first session with guidance on these topics: documentation, preparing the room for patient/family/caregiver education, bolus trials with NMES, setting up pre and post data tracking, and outlining when to re-evaluate. This one hour pre-recorded webcast will give you even more confidence to begin your treatment program.

NOTE: Participants must be Certified VitalStim Providers.

Disclosure: This course will only cover information that pertains to the effective and safe use of VitalStim.
