Cryotherapy and Intermittent Pneumatic Compression for Soft Tissue Trauma

This course will inform the clinician of the latest research on the use of cryotherapy for soft tissue injuries. In addition the clinician will learn about the emerging field of intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) and its combination with cyrotherapy. This combination is being used for soft tissue injuries throughout the body as well as for patients recovering from surgery (from total joints, ACL reconstruction, to speeding the healing of ankle sprains). Finally the clinician will take this new found knowledge of cyrotherapy combined with IPC and see how it is applied in the rehabilitation of common orthopedic diagnoses.
