Join us for a one day hands on course to learn a unique type of low impact rehab exercise (Seated Tai Chi) for those suffering from back, neck and/or shoulder pain and weight bearing restrictions. Whether patient complaints are from permanent physical disabilities or simple sprain/strain injuries, this hands on course will introduce you to the benefits of Seated Tai Chi for your patients. Labs will be used to demonstrate Seated Tai Chi forms designed to help with back pain and neck/shoulder strain. Learn how to introduce Seated Tai Chi into your clinical practice. Discussion will include time allotment, staffing, CPT coding, single vs. group therapy and home therapy DVDs.

Course Developer Zibin Guo, PhD. is the head of the Department of Anthropology at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He is a Tai Chi Master and the developer of “Seated Tai Ji”. Dr. Guo was honored to have his “13 Moves of Wheelchair Tai Ji Quan” included in the festivities of the 2008 Paralympics in Beijing. This form is now officially recognized and promoted throughout all of China.
Course Instructor William R. Johnson, D.C., F.A.C.O. is a Fellow of the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists and a practicing doctor of chiropractic with over 28 years of experience in treating patients with acute/chronic pain and disabilities. He is a Tai Chi practitioner and teacher who has studied for years under the tutelage of Dr. Zibin Guo..
