Melanie Potock, MA, CCC-SLP keeps the fun in feeding therapy! Using strategies developed during more than 12 years of running a private practice that focuses on treating pediatric feeding disorders in the home and school, Melanie utilizes the premise of applied behavior analysis to teach therapists and parents how to build progress while creating joyful mealtimes that are essential to nurturing the entire family. Mel's experience includes working with infants in the NICU, working in a pediatric rehabilitation center and visiting homes and schools to support independent, healthy eating. Mel's caseload includes children with significant medical issues, those transitioning from g-tube feeding to oral feeds and garden-variety picky eaters. Melanie is the author of Raising a Healthy, Happy Eater: A Stage-by-Stage Guidebook to Setting Your Child on the Path to Adventurous Eating. She is the author of Happy Mealtimes with Happy Kids: How to Teach Your Child the Joy of Food! and the executive producer of Dancing in the Kitchen: Songs that Celebrate the Joy of Food! Her expertise has been shared in Parent’s Magazine, the ASHA Leader, Autism Asperger's Digest, Colorado Parent, Healthcentral.com, Pediatric Web, and many other health, nutrition and special needs resources.
