The instructor will in infant feeding safety, effectiveness and efficiency as well. Participants will gain an understanding of the implications of breastfeeding with PFD in infants. Amanda Graves

SLPD, CCC-SLP. CLC

Amanda Graves, M.S. CCC-SLP, CLC is a Speech Clinical Manager and feeding mentor in Lubbock, Texas. Amanda graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a master’s degree in communication disorders in 2007 and is a doctoral candidate at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions with graduation pending December 2023. Amanda has 16 years of experience in pediatrics with the last 12 years specifically in pediatric feeding. She is certified as a lactation counselor and Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation provider and has completed training programs for kinesio-taping for dysphagia, SOS approach, Supporting Oral Feeding in Fragile Infants (SOFFI), myofascial release, and orofacial and myofunctional therapy. Providing quality education for pediatric feeding, specifically to therapists with limited access to mentoring support, became Amanda’s passion after moving from a large urban area to rural Texas. After seeing the difference in the care that her own premature daughter received and the lack of learning opportunities for these therapists, Amanda began helping her community by providing education and mentorship to therapists that lacked this support. Amanda guest lectures at Texas Tech University Health Science Center and has presented at both local and state conferences as well. When not having a meal with her patients in therapy, Amanda can be found celebrating the day with coffee or queso surrounded by friends or her husband and three children.
