This course was developed to provide Clinicians with the knowledge and skills needed to assess and treat those with impaired posture and positioning. The course focus is targeted for Occupational and Physical Therapy Professionals but is relevant for all healthcare professions. This introductory course addresses how to identify those that will benefit from posture/positioning interventions, provide comprehensive assessments, and dynamic treatment plans for those with posture and positioning needs. Course information is designed to be immediately useful when treating their next patient/client to promote best practice outcomes.
This course is part 1 of a 3 part series to provide Learners with an opportunity to become an expert in the field of posture and positioning.

Wendy Underwood has been an Occupational Therapy Assistant for over 25 years working with all ages in a variety of settings. She has extensive knowledge and experience with postural health and its impact on functional independence.
Wendy is the Continuing Education Administrator and Campus Relations Liaison for Therapy Management Corporation.
She is Pelvic Muscle Dysfunction & Bowel and Bladder Heath Certified, Mindful Care Certified, an American Lung Association Better Breathers Club Certified Facilitator, and Kombucha & OT Podcast Host. Wendy enjoys giving back to her profession and has recently been appointed to the AOTA Bylaws, Policy, & Procedures Committee.
Wendy has a vast resume of course development and instructional experience focused on an interprofessional and collaborative approach to therapy interventions. Her goal for each course developed and taught is that each learner can use the knowledge and skills gained with their very next patient.

Great overall. I would suggest using more updated photos of equipment while continuing to note that it's not always accessible due to funding limits. That said, I only saw 1 CRT example (tilt in space) and several basic options. You commented to 'reach for the stars' so showing what the universe could look like for appropriate patients would be helpful to a new therapist and/or ATP taking your course.
