Feeding delays are often multifaceted with a combination of medical, sensory, behavioral and environmental factors. Feeding difficulties can start in the NICU, and sometimes it's later in childhood. Children with feeding difficulties are best served by an interdisciplinary team including nurses, physicians, registered dietitians, feeding therapist (OT and/or SLP), and physical therapist.
